About me

Verónica Guerrero Ferrer (1989, Córdoba, Spain) is a mixed-media artist currently based in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

From an early age, painting and drawing became my way of understanding and expressing emotions, thoughts and inner experiences beyond words. Over time, art evolved into a space for exploration; a dialogue between material, memory, nature and human emotion.

My practice is deeply inspired by the landscapes and natural elements that surround me, particularly the volcanic environment of the Canary Islands. I work with textured surfaces and organic materials such as sand, burned wood, leaves and layered mixed-media techniques to create works that explore transformation, regeneration and fragility.

Travel and cultural exchange have also shaped my artistic perspective. Having lived in different countries and environments, I am constantly drawn to the emotional and psychological ways in which people connect to places, memories and natural spaces.

I am especially interested in processes of emotional transformation, resilience and human connection, as well as the relationship between nature and the inner world. Through texture, materiality and color, my work seeks to evoke sensations that exist between memory, erosion and renewal.

Alongside my artistic practice, I have a background in education and a growing interest in community-based and interdisciplinary projects that combine art, emotional expression and human connection.
